The King’s Fund Primary Care Management of Dyspepsia Symposium 5th December 2003, London
Reckitt Benckiser sponsored the Primary Care Management of Dyspepsia Symposium at the prestigious King's Fund on the 5th December 2003. The event was successful in raising awareness of the treatment options available for GORD and dyspepsia, an often neglected disease area, which accounts for £560m/7% of the UK drug spend. The symposium attracted a large audience of Pharmaceutical Advisors, GPs, Members of the NICE committee and GI specialists, with speakers from both Primary and Secondary care. A report will be published in January to summarise best practice discussions and next steps. The Symposium was facilitated by Dr Steve Gillam (Director, Primary Care Resource Programme, King’s Fund) and Jeremy Holmes (Director, Health Economics, Beaufort International Ltd).
